Happy May Day!

May Day is here! Any clue what that means?? I didn't until about 4 years ago when Salem was in school. May Day is huge around here! I don't know the whole background still, all I know is what you do. You take a cup, fill it with, usually popcorn and m&ms and add a handle (optional)(to look like a basket). You then go sneakily to a friends house, place the cup on their porch, run the door bell and run like heck! The idea is to not be seen. I kinda failed this year, as we didn't have any "fresh" popcorn, so we just filled the cups up with candy. Salem and Kaden did 2 of our neighbors. They got caught doing the one :( But then they caught that neighbor doing us. So that was kinda fun. This year was kinda low on the May Day baskets. They only got 3 (one from me). Well and the only they got in school. Salem's teacher and a classmate gave them each one. It's a fun little tradition.

Hey, we just got May Dayed! Too funny! I saw who did it though, our friends Jenni and Ted. I'm not about to answer the door this late at night (10:30), so I peeked out and saw. Yummy snacks! The boys will be happy to see them in the morning!

What else today? I worked for the afternoon. Have to work all day tomorrow though. Keith had training today on splicing fiber! It's quite exciting he knows how to do it now! Not sure if he ever wants to, but atleast it's another thing he can add to his resume! He brought home a piece today to show us.

The flowers are started to show. Our strawberries have flowers as well! We were out grilling and the kids were riding bikes when a bunny come hoping across our lawn. We stop and watch him. He makes himself at home in the middle of our yard chomping on all the clover we have. All those neighbors with fancy grass lawns don't get to experience that! I grab my camera out of the house and get back close, but then I make too quick of a move and scare him off. Oops! He'll be back! Our rhubarb is close to be ready to harvest! It's HUGE already! Kaden is getting excited, he loves to eat it! Keith will dip it in sugar. We have a lot of rhubarb we have to give alot away. We harvest it all season long and seems to grow faster than I can cut it.
