Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!!

We didn't do anything too special here. The boys let me sleep in and Keith brought me breakfast in bed. Putted around and decided it was getting late in the day so we better get going. Headed down to Coralville so I could get my contacts fixed and check out Scheels for a bike for Salem. Contacts got fixed! They are still not the correct prescription, but they are ordering me a trial and having them shipped to here. At least the contacts aren't loose in my eyes like the other pair. We had planned to do some caches in the area, but the eye doctor took so long. We are also trying to find Salem a pair of running shoes. His feet hurt him when he runs, so we'll see if a nice pair of shoes help out so we can run at the track. Hit one cache on our way to Bonnie's Toys and More. I got to pick out a Webkinz! I chose the American Cocker Spaniel because it comes with a race car. After that we hit McDonald's for dinner since it was 4pm already. We were heading over to Williamsburg outlet mall to check those stores for shoes. Struck out on shoes, but I found reusable bags at Claires for 25¢ each! I had bought a few before for $2, but bought 20 today! They fold into themselves and are the size of a little Kleenex pack! Great to stash in the car and take into smaller stores to use! I'll be putting some into caches too. I'm all about reusable bags, sick of the plastic ones! We got home around 7pm in time for showers, dessert (ice cream) and book reading and kids to bed!

Salem's bike...the one we wanted went out of stock the other day, ugh! So we went into panic mode trying to find one that would work. I talked to REI and found the bike will be in stock on the 17th. Salem ends tonight, but we can order it and it'll ship when it gets in stock. So we did! We had it shipped to the store and we'll pick it up. Hoping to do that on the 6th of June.

Kaden made me the cutest "card" in school! I scanned it so you can see. He got bonus points for my weight :) Smart kid, aim low! He also got bonus points for spelling my name right! Such a smart kid! Salem made me a bookmark and his teacher printed off cards for the kids to color and write in. Such great kids they are!

Kaden has his field trip to the children's museum tomorrow. He's been very excited! I get to join them as well! And Salem has his field trip Thursday and I'm a helper for that as well.
