We'd been keeping an eye on the weather. Keith had Night at the Oval racing and we were hoping the rain held off for that. It did and was a beautiful night! At home, we saw on the weather a nasty storm was heading our way. Around 9:30 it took a turn for the worse! The sirens started going off! We were already watching the weather, so we knew it was for up north and we were okay. I ran upstairs to the kids, figuring they had been awoken. Kaden met me at the door saying he couldn't wake his brother up. I told him it was fine we were keeping an eye on the storm and would get him if it changed. Salem woke up at that time and he told us to shush as he heard something. Duh, the siren, lol. Salem surprisingly fell back asleep right away and Kaden shortly after. The storms brought us a bunch of rain, thunder, lightening and strong winds. But nothing like they were saying. They thought winds up to 70mph!! So we were spared again!
Like I said, Keith had his bike racing tonight. Good turnout with lots of spectators too! A rider's wife showed up with her 2 girls that were the boys age. They went off and played happily for quite a while. I went on the track to take pics. Still need to work on my focusing, I get a lot of blurry shots. It was alot more casual this time with others around. I loosened up a bit and us wives got to talk a bit during the races and I had fun talking to the Group A (fast guys) riders. Keith was getting "mad props" for his racing tonight by the faster riders! He did awesome! Ended up 2nd overall in the Group B guys (and 1 gal).
