We kept Kaden home from school today. We figured he would just sit and scratch himself all day and that was kinda embarrassing for him. He was upset he missed out on his Star of the Week presentation today. I did talk to his teacher afterschool and he is doing it tomorrow! Kaden is looking much better. Still nasty all over, but it seems to have stopped spreading. Surprisingly his legs do not have any poison ivy on them! Silly boy was excited to show me his boy parts this morning, since they looked so much better, lol. He's gonna kill me years down the road when he realizes I'm talking about this to everyone. He was out riding his bike this afternoon with his brother and having a good ole time. It was when he was sitting watching tv or walking around that it was bugging him and I would have to yell at him to stop scratching. In due time he'll get better.
On another more serious note, my dad was taken to the hospital this morning! My brother called me around 9am this morning, but I was sleeping so I hit the snooze and forgot he called until this afternoon. My surprise when he told me! Usually I get bad news from my family before 8am! Anyway...dad was having chest pains so mom called an ambulance and off they went! I guess having chest pains gets you immediate attention in the ER! I should have said Kaden had chest pains that somehow turned into poison ivy, wouldn't have had to wait 1.5 hours! All joking aside, it was very scary waiting to hear updates from my brother. Finally heard semi good news this afternoon that dad's pains had pretty much gone, but he was being admitted to get some more testing done. Basically, most of my family reads this so they know the details. We're praying very hard for dad and his recovery! Hoping he gets to come back home tomorrow with a clean bill of health! No more ambulance rides! Although Salem was jealous, he thought it'd be cool...yeah but not when you need to be in one! We love you dad/grandpa!
