Rain Rain go away!!

So I didn't blog last night because we had more strong storms coming in. The lightening was so bright and it was still many miles away! I didn't want to risk losing everything on my computer again, so I shut it down early.

Keith got called out again last night. He was out till 12:30am. I stayed up watching the Dallas Cheerleaders tryout reality show. You would have thought I could have found something else on, but no, unless I wanted blood and gore. And sleep just wasn't happening. I should have brought a movie upstairs instead. Thanksfully we didn't get more than strong thunderstorms. Keith fell alseep the moment he hit the bed. Me on the other hand was up half the night feeling the house shake! The boys slept through the whole thing. Sometimes they'll be awake the whole night too. Othertimes they sleep right through it. Glad they slept last night, they need sleep!

Salem's class walked up to Dairy Queen today. The PTO gave each kid $2 for treats. Salem took $2 of his allowance and got a medium blizzard. Yummy!! Then at home, he wanted to go up again and get another one. Um, no sorry kid! We've got the soft serve ice cream maker thing we can make our own blizzards. Hum, gonna have to break it out, sounding pretty good. Maybe with the heat we're supposed to have this weekend! Salem brought home his daily journal book. Oh man, that kid did SO bad in writing. He was to write 4 sentences each day. He's got WAY too many days where it's just 1 sentence. I'll have to copy some of the things in here, so you can see. Some days he wrote a lot and there are some funny times.

Kaden had Starry games today. Sadly, the field we were supposed to play in was so saturated from all the rain, we had to hold inside games. Outside they woudl have had kickball, shoe kicking, tug of war, hopper games and so on. Inside it was still fun. Each grade went to the different same grade classrooms and had different activities. Like Kaden's class had a game called 4 corners. It was fun, but had a math twist to it. Mrs. Neff has arts and crafts room, Mrs. C had a game called Frogger (a circle detective game) and Mrs. Groene had Jingo (a math bingo) and I Spy books. The kids all had a blast and afterwards they got to go outside and eat popsicles. Not as fun as it should have been, but mother nature wasn't being nice.

The boys are upstairs watching a movie tonight. Our grocery store has a Redbox now and I can fnd free rental codes online. So we got one tonight for them. Otherwise it's only $1 to rent one for a night. Not bad and it's all automated, the kids can do it themselves.

Tomorrow we've got a Marion safety thing at the grocery store. Not sure what it's all about, they have car seat checks, bike rodeo and a couple kids activities. It's free and local! Then we're heading dow to Toys R Us, they have a free download a special pokemon character for their DS game. TRU does that a couple times a year but we've either been otu of town, or the kids have not had the game. This year it works out so they're excited.

We might break out the slip n slide, or sprinkler atleast. It's supposed to be ncie and hot!! Can't wait!!
