No melons at this race, but lots of action! Melon City crit was today. Keith raced at 1:15, which meant a ncie easy morning for us! Kids woke up early like always and we finally got around to breakfast. Yummy hotel breakfast, wasn't that bad. Waffles, yogurt, cereal, bagels and muffins! Everyone scarfed down, except mommy, who took most of her breakfast back to the room since I was busy getting the kids their waffles. Packed up the room and at 10am headed off to the race course. It was only 5 minutes away and we saw lots of juniors riding too and from their race. They had raced starting at 8:45am. So we got there, and walked the course while the kids played on the playground. At the bottom of this super fast/steep hill is a speed hump! Talk about dangerous set-up! We watched a few racers go over, then headed back to the kids. Keith eventually got ready and the kids and I were off on our own. It was a nice relaxing day. The boys and I went to the speed hump for the best action. There was a big pond there too and we watched the ducks while waiting for Keith's race to start. It got under way and Keith was in 3rd to start! He was in 2/3rd place until the 4th lap when he got dropped on the hill. He was on his own the rest of the race, but still flying along! He had some fun, even doing a jump on one lap! Final results, Keith 6th place!!!
Kids are now home playing happily outside. Salem and his friend Tyler are playing ladder golf. Kaden is doing something with wood pieces and nails. Oh, he's making a park entrance so the cars can drive under it. Cool. He did a good job even with the nails!
That's all for now!
