Last night we were scared watching Eileen Loan on channel 7 telling us there was a chance of rain and snow for today. Not happy were we. Thankfully she was WRONG! It was very chilly this morning, but no snow and no rain! Last year the high of the day was 90! Yes 90! Today it was 50! Yes only 50!
Keith did awesome! He placed 10th over all and 7th in the Cat 5 guys. The cat 5 guys and the college guys (class d) raced at the same time, but were in different classes in the end. He kicked butt on the climbs and didn't get dropped too bad on the flats. He's doing much better over all. Last year he got lapped and placed 30th. So a BIG improvement!
Salem and Kaden raced today as well. Such a short little lap for them, but they had fun. Kaden brought up the rear, like always. Salem finished towards the middle. There were only a few kids in their age group. Their little legs could only peddle their bikes as fast as their bikes could go. They all got a t-shirt and a couple stickers.
Back at home they raced around the yard while we grilled out. The boys saved up their money and bought Mario Kart for the Wii today. Salem LOVES it! Kaden had fun too, but he's not a huge video game kid, so a couple games and he was happy with it for now. Keith's playing it now.
We ran out of strawberries :( And almost out of ice cream :( I hope someone has it on sale tuesday!
