More snow?

Yes that 4 letter word we in Iowa are SO sick of! SNOW! It was fun way back in October when it first started. And then November/December it was disgusting. January/February it was normal to be out for hours a day chopping inches of ice and shoveling the snow trying to find spots to put it. If it wasn't snowing we thought something was wrong. So come on, give us a break already! Even though we have had 60 degree days there are still snow piles! Not by us, but in parking lots and a few drifts along the road were so high and thick they are still there! I'm sure today's rain melted them though.

Kaden has his costume all set his play. Tomorrow they practice it at the high school. Thursday they give a performance to all of the elementary school and Thursday night is the play. He's SO excited! He did not try out for a speaking part, but happy to be singing. I was watching him at recess yesterday and he was off by himself (hard to do with 200 kids) and he was dancing and singing, practicing his song. I didn't get a picture today of his costume so it will have to wait until Thursday.

Salem won't sing in front of us. His choir group from school has the honor of singing the National Athem next week at the Kernels (local ball team) game. We're all going to watch him that night. I'm not sure if he's nervous or what. He won't talk much about it. He is excited about art class, they are making some type of weaving bag. It's taking them forever to finish it. I said it's becuase he's talking too much, but he insists he's talking AND working on it. He wants to start working on one at home, so tomorrow we're gonna try and find the stuff so he can.

Keith did my brakes tonight. As you can see in the pics, they were a tad bit worn down! I left for my meeting at 5:20 and when I came home just over an hour later he was done! I expected him to take longer. He did only do the front ones and just the pads. Keith also learned a new trick. He can ride no handed on his rollers! No riding outside today becuase of the rain and snow and brake work, so he had to resort to the rollers, which are fine, but it's April, he should be outside!

I'm not really sure what they are paying me to do at work. I sit around and talk with the teacher most of the day. Or the other associates I run into. I guess they pay me to make copies and check papers. It has been a really easy week so far. I hope I'm not jinxing myself! Tomorrow is an early out, so that will be nice. Thursday I'll be with a couple kids who are harder to handle, so I hope they behave! Friday I'm working down in the Kindergarten classrooms. I don't even know all the K's teachers! Ooops! We have 4 new ones this year and no name tags. I'll figure out Friday I guess.

We got more ice cream tonight so yes again we had strawberry milkshakes! I'm glad the boys don't like them so we don't have to share!
