Scout night

Mondays are always hetic and today was no different...sorta. Monday nights are Cub Scout nights and I always wait to the last minute to plan things. But today I was scheduled to work, so I knew I had to get it sorta planned out before hand. Couldn't wait till Monday afternoon to find an activity to do. I was able to get it all planned out last night. Tonight's meeting went very well I'd say. I got the kids to finish their Map & Compass belt loop and pin! Plus it was nice, so our meeting was outside and when we finished a few minutes early they ran around and played tag. Keith was a good sport and played along while I stood and talked with one of the parents. Salem's den ate candy again at their meeting. I'm not really sure what all this candy has to do with what they are working on, but I guess it keeps the kids happy.

Nothing else too exciting for the boys. Kaden has a BIG musical coming up on the 10th. He had to take an animal to school today to store it there to use in the play. That was an ordeal this morning to decide which one! He has SO many to choose from. He finally decided on his Lil Kinz Webkinz alley cat. A little small, but oh well, he was happy with that choice. Hopefully with my new camera I can get a closer-up shot of him. Or we can show up early and get a better seat.

Keith has some exciting stuff going on, ha, not really. My brakes decided to start grinding when we were driving it tonight. Well, not while we were driving, but when we stopped. This was the first I noticed it doing it, but he is going to replace then tomorrow night. I told him he can't I have a meeting to go to. But silly me, the meeting is just a block away, I can walk! But that means less riding time for him after work.

This was the last day of the HyVee strawberries being on sale, so I picked up 4 pounds today. I kinda wished they were out of them so I could get a raincheck, but no luck, they had tons! But after tonight's milkshakes we are out of ice cream. So hoping someone has it on sale tomorrow. Here's a pic Keith took of a strawberry that was in the bunch. It was not spared the blender!
