I went into work today only to be given the option to go home if I wanted to. The one kid was not in today, so I did not need to stay. I figured since it was only a half day anyway, I would go home. Which I did for a little and went through the pantry trying to organize it a bit. Then I got a wild hair and went to Sears to try and find those greay pants and you know it did not end good. Plus the Dollar Store did not have any more Arizona Ice Tea that Keith likes. They are the only place that carries the lemon kind.
Salem hurt his heel today. We'll have to keep and eye on it. His problem is he runs very flat footed. He is such a noisy runner because of it! At school they have a track the kids can walk/run around during recess. They have a punch card they get punched after each lap. When they do 5 miles (40 laps) they can turn it in for a special little treat. Salem has been doing it since they came back from Spring Break and he filled his card today! He ran/walked 13 laps today during the one recess! What a great job! But after the last lap he said his heel started really hurting him. And he was limping a bit today. So we'll see how he does. I told him don't run tomorrow, just walk, or don't do laps at all.
That kid is also growing like a weed! Both the kids really, I can't keep up with them! It seems every week they have more pants that are too short on them. They both went through a huge growth spurt over the winter. I'll be SO glad when shorts weather is here. and we don't have to worry about pants being capris. When I was at Sears today I saw some pants on clearance for $5.50 that I was going to buy for Salem for next year, but then I remembered his growth and didn't buy them. They were size 12 and he'll probably still be in that size, but I didn't want to chance it. With the kids I've now learned to hold on and not buy too far ahead or they won't get use out of them. Even if that means paying sale price, not clearance.
Keith is trying to figure out a race for this weekend. He can do a road race on Saturday, but there's a chance of snow. Or he can do a mountain bike race on Sunday. He's not sure which one yet.
Only 2 more nights of strawberry milkshakes. Noone has berries on sale this week and we only have 2 lbs left. It's okay, I think our waists need a break from them. I think I need more of a break from all the Easter Candy. Mine is almost gone...gone to my waist that is!
