So Monday night was Cub Scout night. Kaden had his den meeting and it went well. Salem was invited to a boy scout troop party. He had a blast he said! They played a bunch of Halloween games and had snacks and learned a couple things. That is one troop we are looking into, but it is small and no other kids within 2 years of Salem. Nov 6th I have a meeting/open house with a ton of troops that we can schedule visits with them to hopefully eventually find a troop that is perfect for Salem!
Tuesday night night brought cyclocross practice to our house. Keith and Salem went over to Thomas park to practice with a couple other guys. Keith showed Salem the course and then they all took off at their pace. Salem did a great job! Of course he didn't keep up and was lapped a couple times, but the kids kept going! I don't know how many laps he did, but at one lap he came through and said he felt like puking, but didn't want to quit yet! He's tougher than I thought! The course is tough...or seems that way. It's got some stair climbs, log crossings, hills, all sorts of a good cyclocross course! I think it helped that dad and the other guys were there too. I hope he's that strong come Sunday for his 1st race! Kaden and I were there to cheer the guys on and take pics and video.
Not much else going on here, waiting for our apple crisp to be done so we can enjoy that!
