Do we really need them? How bad it is to have a full mouth of dentures? Or maybe just the back halves? I'm really starting to root for a set after all the issues I've had with my teeth! I bet it would be way cheaper just to yank all my molars out and replace them with fake things. Probably less painful too!!
What's my issue now?? A possible abscess tooth! It started back Wednesday night with some tooth pain. I had a cavity filled a few months back and the dentist said it was a deep cavity, but the filling should do the trick...for now. Little did I know for now meant only a couple months! But as always I sucked up the pain, iced the mouth and used Tylenol and orajel. Only helped for short periods of time. Come Friday the pain was better, so I ignored it some more. Come Friday night it was horrible again! But by then I was sucking it up and refusing to see the dentist figuring the nerve would die and the pain would go away for the moment. Nope didn't happen. What happened instead is I woke up to a swollen upper palate on the left side! And it has continued to grow! I also have a swollen lymph node in my throat and makes it hard to swallow. Of course eating is not easy since everything touches the roof of my mouth and that hurts even worse! I'm trying to eat mac n cheese now (smells good) but that hurts. I had some yogurt last night and that wasn't too bad. I've been drinking lots of ice water and at night I sleep with an ice pack on my face. I haven't been able to sleep more than a couple hours at a time. I'm up using the bathroom or putting more orajel on or taking some Tylenol. It sucks big time!!
I do have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning. The one gal I work with, her hubby is a kids dentist and so I checked with her about some good ones. I don't have any more dental insurance, so it doesn't matter who I go to, I'm gonna have to pay out the wazoo anyway, so I want a good one! This guy can see me first thing tomorrow morning! I'm hoping they can slice open my gum and drain it for some relief! Not sure what else they will do, I want immediate relief!!
This year has not been good with my teeth and I'm ready to lose them all! I just want to be done with the pain!!! Okay whining is over for now!!
