Especially when you have NO heat!! Our darn furnace is broke...again!!! I swear our landlord just needs to buy a brand new one rather then keep fixing the thing. Yesterday afternoon Keith and I decided it was getting chilly and turned the heat on. That didn't seem to work too well. Fan came on, but no heat! So I called the landlord around 2pm and he didn't call me until almost 7pm last night! He then tried finding someone to come out last night with no luck. Then this morning a guy came over at noon and he's not able to fix the thing. The furnace is 11 years old and the parts are not common, so he's not able to do anything until Monday...unless landlord wants to pay even more for him to run all over trying to find the part. Of course landlord says Monday will be just fine, sure, for him it will! Luckily it is not the middle of winter and it's not THAT cold out. It's 60 degrees in the house now, so on the chilly side, but tolerable a bit. At night we'll just bundle up a bunch. Last night the kids wore 2 pairs of winter pj's! Maybe we'll run to the store to get them some footie ones! And of course they had tons of blankets!
Tomorrow we'll be at a race most of the day, so our house temp won't matter. And hopefully Monday he can get the thing to work for us!! I swear if I didn't hate moving so much and didn't hate expensive rentals, we'd move! But this is a huge house for a good price even with it's issues. Ah it's old what do you expect! But I did tell Keith if we ever buy a house we will get the biggest warranty we can get on the furnace since we have such bad luck with them. The is the 3rd or 4th time the furnace has broke since we lived here and that's been just over 5 years now. Or maybe Keith needs to start working as a furnace guy on the side so he gets the know-how on fixing them.
Oh, we did get our roof over the laundry room "fixed" the other day. Not sure if it's really fixed or not, have to wait for some rain. It's quite interesting though how they did it. I'll post a pic later tonight. The way it was done was exactly how I figured it would be...which is HORRIBLE!!!
