Yeah the weekend is here!! No bike race tomorrow so we can all sleep in!! The boys have even been sleeping in a little bit, like till 7am!! I had enough of them waking up early when one morning I had to get up to go potty at 5:45am and they were both awake already! That was the last straw. Now I can't make them sleep in, but I can take away the stuff they do in the morning. Like Salem gets up and is glued to his DS, so we take that away in the morning and now there's not much to get up for. Kaden, can't take much from him, he usually gets up and just sits on the couch. Sometimes watches tv. They need more sleep!! Doesn't matter what time we put them to bed, they still will get up early. It does make a difference how exhausted we get them before bed. It's hard to do that since it gets dark so soon now, but we try to wear them out at night. I'm sure this past week is just a fluke in them sleeping in, but it's a fluke I'll take! That and Salem was getting sick from lack of sleep. It's been a while since that happened, but it was starting to, so we were really stressing the importance of getting good sleep!
Keith is getting over being sick this week by passing it on to me. We've both got some cold/sinus crap. But he's talked to a few people as well as I and it's quite common this week to be dealing with it. Not sure if it's the weather since it was so chilly last week and now it's back in the high 70's. Messes with ya!
Salem has been having fun with his clarinet. He has learned 2 notes so far and is proud of that! He's only had 1 class so far too. I want to sit down with him and his book to try and learn a couple more...get ahead ya know!
Kaden has broken out the recorder too. I wonder if we have music that they can do a duet? Gonna have to see about that.
Tonight they got out their remote control cars. Watch your toes!!! Keith and I were trying to make dinner and had to deal with cars flying around us. I let them stay because I know they were having a blast and not causing too many problems. They do have to pick up all the soda bottles they knocked over! Salem has the hummer out and Kaden has the Tony Stewart car. The TS one launched pretty well out of the kitchen!
I had another ultrasound today. We were able to see both the heartbeats! Both are growing well. I got back next Friday for another one. Hopefully in a week or so I'll be off the meds and shots!!
Sunday Keith is racing Sugar Bottom, should be a nice day! Then next weekend is a big one. We head off Friday afternoon to Council Bluffs for the last MTB race on Saturday, then a stopover in DM at our friends house for the night and the 1st cyclocross race of the season Sunday. No break in this racing stuff!! We're taking the kids out early, half a day for them. It's like a 5 hour drive and we'd rather leave Friday than leave 3am Saturday morning!
That's all for now! Gonna try and rangle the kids to calm down and stop crashing the cars into everything and chill for the night. Then off to bed!!
