I don't think it was too wacky today, little bit, but not too bad. Heck it's not even Wednesday, shows how much I'm out of it! I worked today and the kid I was assigned to was having a very off day. I'm going to blame it on the weather. We did have some weather today! At first they were calling for ice and snow, but then it changed to just ice and then rain. We ended up just getting rain and thunderstorms, which started just as we sent the K and 1st graders out to recess, they came running back in screaming and soaking wet, lol. Oops! The rain went on and off for a while and then came the lightening and thunder! You'd think with how the class I was in was acting they have never seen that stuff before! And when it started POURING down rain, you'd think they weren't here last year with the floods and all the rain we got! They were wild and crazy! Of course this was during inside recess so the teacher did let it go for a little bit, then corralled them into chilling out a bit. He's pretty relaxed, plus him and I were talking and trying to ignore the kids, but when we had to yell to talk to each other he decided it was too loud! Anyway my kid only ended up in time out once today. He was silly and squirrely and just not right all day, finally it came to head and he needed to go chill out! After that he was pretty good, of course there was only an hour left in the day.
I'm looking forward to not working tomorrow. I put in half a day on Tuesday, full day (although early out) on Wednesday and all day today. I said I need tomorrow to recoup! That and Salem has a big Boy Scout meeting Monday which we are to bring desserts and he wants to make sugar cookies cut out in the shape of the fleur-de-lis. So tomorrow I'll be making the dough. I was hoping to get away with just some dirt salad, but nope, sugar cookies it is this time.
Boys are doing good! Kaden got his report card and is doing very well in school. His multiplication scores went up, yeah! I guess our Skittles game has helped him! Or I'd like to think it has. His subtraction is still low, but his teacher isn't too concerned. He knows his facts, but is just not super fast with them. Maybe we'll start the Skittles game with subtracting. Although they are now onto division, ugh moving so fast!
Salem is gearing up for a busy month with his band and chorus! He has a couple concerts (band and chorus) coming up in March, plus a play they are working on. He has a small speaking part for that one. I need to update my calendar with all his stuff. Plus Boy Scouts is keeping him busy! He's very excited to be going to their meetings! I'm sure it helps he has friends there too. But he even took his BS book to school the other day to read during free time! And I'm happy to say he has turned in his spelling every day this week! Wait now, he didn't turn it in Monday, so was grounded after school on Tuesday. He turned all of it in on Tuesday and has for the rest of the week. We'll see how next week goes though!
Keith doing good too. Working and riding his bike like always. Nothing too exciting with him. He's hoping for some nice weather this weekend to take his mountain bike and hit the local trails. Seems it should be okay this weekend for him!
I'm doing fine. Nothing to report...which is good. I go back to the doc next Friday for another uneventful appointment...don't mind those! I do have a dentist appt on Monday to get my permanent crown, yeah to be done with that! Until May that is when I can get x-rays taken to find all the other issues with my teeth.
So yeah that's about it for now. I'm working on pics, maybe I'll get some more uploaded tomorrow to send out. And I'll try to update the blog over the past week's events.
